The majority of haute collections of this SS 2015 season in Paris literally “bloomed and flourished.” The floral theme came to the taste of many designers that embodied it fabulous flower appliques, inflorescences, bright compositions and embroidery. We can certainly feel the approach of the spring.
Ralph & Russo literally sang the coming of the most wonderful time of the year. Their models remind magical forest nymphs. Choice of fabrics speaks for itself: organza gently envelops, gauze adds volume and lightness, silk flows. All the effort is made to elevate and demonstrate the elegance and grandeur of the Nature itself.
Frankly, flower theme is coming back not for the first time and already bored some of us. And every time designers try to play the “flowers” in some new way, but not all of them succeed. The collection of Ralph & Russo, however, is not “heavy” and “luscious”, but rather “raffiné”, as the French say.
Refinement and elegance were what I wanted to “absorb” at the haute couture week in Paris and and share with you. And Tamara Ralph with Michael Russo helped me a lot with this task.
