One more month is left before the official haute couture week starts in Paris. Meanwhile Valentino Fashion House anticipated the event staging Valentino Bianca Haute Couture show in New York earlier this week. The catwalk which took place a…t the Madison Avenue building formerly known as the Whitney Museum of American Art paid tribute to the original Valentino’s 60s-era collection at the Sala Bianca in Florence and the Sfilata Bianca in Rome. Totally white as resulted from the show’s theme (‘Sala Biance’ means ‘White room’ in Italian) the collection combines the Valentino’s signature modern romantics looks embodied in lace, chiffon and organza weightless and transparent dresses with a delicate touch of 60s in their iconic A-shape silhouettes. All enhanced by some elements proper to Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli style. Looking forward to the January’s haute couture week, which promises to be delicious!
