During the week of haute couture there are always many fancy shows. We may see unimaginable designs made from several meters of fabric, framework, sophisticated hats – but I am rather attracted by a discreet chic, sexuality and femininity of silhouettes.
And I found all that at the show of Alexandre Vaultier. Practical black “carrot” pants, combined with an absolutely sheer skirt, a yellow belt with pearl inclusions and elegant fox fur coat flung over the shoulders attract the eyes with their lightness and gloss. Geometrically correctly cut and sewn together sheer pieces of the floor-length dress disclosed seductively here and there bare legs. Pullover, made from python stripes sewn on tulle, lost one arm and gained a light eccentricity.
Alexandre Vaultier knows how to combine soft lightweight fabric with denser ones. He uses lace, python skin, tulle, leather, fur, muslin and silk. The look is neither aggressive nor sugary. It is just perfect on its own, and a woman trying it on becomes confident, a little cocky and insanely seductive.
