In their Spring-Summer haute couture collection the Danish duo Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren never ceases to amaze us with an original approach to haute couture. A laboratory in which new ideas are generated for a less “conceptual” for perception pret-à-porter line? A view of the couture as a theater and professional ballerinas from the troupe of Danish National Opera and Ballet Theatre as models? An advertising campaign of a new fragrance Bonbon, which poster with Edita Vilkeviciute in bows painted on the body as clothing was delicately projected on the backdrop at the end of the show? This way or another Viktor&Rolf added some surrealism to the magic potion prepared by Parisian couturier wizards
Asymmetric body color leotard dresses with “tattooed” on them birds, ruffles and bows, echoing the V&R advertising campaign, like a second skin envelop the body of the dancers walking on points. The designers seem to invite us to share with them the creative process and “complete” images using our own imagination.
