Man’s suit
Woman of the twenty-first century gets closer and closer to a man in her rights and a way of life. That is why at the forefront of fashion come masculine pantsuit and its variations. However, in contrast to “power wearing” of the 80s, in which the struggle for power with the opposite sex was a life-or-death, the new fashion of the second decade of the XXI century is far less militant and more feminine.
Borrow boyfriend’s vest and shirt
Individual elements of the male wardrobe are also widely used in women’s clothing. Vests that Raf Simons, modernizing Dior collection the second season, suggests to wear vest as a dress. Men’s shirts, tailored from Vichy checks, representing the public unconscious symbol of femininity (BB got married in a pink checked dress) in Alexis Mabille collection.
Sport-wear chic
Semi-sport clothes for the young and not restricted in the funds intellectuals made of couture fabrics. All got mixed in the world of fashion, erasing the boundaries between male and female.
Black is back. Black-and-white + black monochrome + white monochrome
The riot of color that blew up last year’s summer collections is now less relevant. Black-and-white palette prevails in almost all collections. You can either give a preference to monochrome: the white, more logical for the spring or the “color of colors” black that regains some lost positions; or combine the two basics, dressing in their cinematic mix.
Goddess for a night
As an alternative to black and white serves scarlet, which found its way to every collection. From the “classics of the genre” total look from Valentino to the works of fashion art of Alexander McQueen.
Creating an illusion
Body color, like a second skin: feminine-vulnerable and at the same time protective. It is present in many collections and will work as a color compromise.
Not to get bored – asymmetrical skirt
Skirt, a classic piece and the foundation of women’s wardrobe, has undergone stylistic changes. In order to stay “in the trend”, it now should be asymmetric, with slits in front or on the sides, the depth of which is determined by your self-confidence.
A bold combination
However, if you want to show a master class and set the “trend” yourself, a long skirt with a slit in front designers suggest to combine with pants or, depending on the situation, mini-shorts. The effect is guaranteed.
“Ethno” mood
Ethno-motifs are the most interesting at Manish Arora. In the spring-summer season the designer decided to turn to his roots and created a magnificent collection inspired by Indian maharajas and the devadasi dancers. Fluorescent colors, being the signature of the designer, gave way to a soft, gentle palette of peach and gold.
Playing hide-and-seek
In the fashion of the future, according to historians and critics, the major role will play the style. So true ladies, which feel themselves uncomfortable in sports clothes (even invented by Tom Ford), should not necessarily abandon bourgeois pencil-skirts, and inborn seductresses stop their play in the semi-nudity. For the latter designers offer a promising transparency. And the above mentioned Tom Ford managed to combine in his collection seemingly impossible: sport-wear is perfectly inlaid in a lady like style.
Thin straps on tops and dresses – a deceptive fragility
Romantic young ladies will like thin straps on tops and dresses that make the girly waist even more touching and fragile. Feel free to supplement the airy crepe de chine with motorcycle boots to “break” the image, as stylists say, and to add to it the famous “hooliganism.”
Bustier as a hymn of femininity
Bustier is a leitmotif of the Parisian collections of the coming season. Dresses, combinations of tops with skirts, pants and shorts suggest exposing sculpted shoulders. And we still have time until summer.
On the head
In the fashion of the future accessories are minimal. However, for queens Vivienne Westwood suggest putting on a crown. While for fashionistas running ahead of time, Junya Watanabe invented space helmets. Hats of varying level the classicism are luxurious at John Galliano, Saint Laurent and Alexander McQueen.
Looking through
In the future our thoughts will be as transparent as sandals – because we have (almost) nothing to hide, no?
