Maison Rabih Kayrouz, which not so long ago entered the “Olympus of High Fashion”, managed to ripple the water – and not in a figurative sense. The podium was covered with water and the models walked on it barefoot. Sprays and fluctuating water mass casted moving shadows on the walls and the faces of those present haute couture lovers.

Dresses may appear simple at the first glance, but it is only an optical illusion. They are short, light, not constraining the movement – but if you look closely, you would see the bottom layer of green fabric. And then there is a dark blue skirt over it: however this outer fabric is not heavy, but with fragments of a mesh. And we get an impression of green-blue variegated dress. Rabin uses cotton and guipure, as well as fine woven fabrics. Shortened milky white jackets of the most delicate leather and sleeves in three quarters, shorts of a sky-blue shade, snow-white «bulle» skirt, lemon-coloured dresses and blouses, bermudas. Here and there belt buckles glitter with gold.

The entire collection is very gentle and practical, that rather distances the brand from the general haute couture trend to create something unimaginable and only affordable to celebrities and royals. In general, I liked the collection. The show was also attended by the famous Russian ex-l’Officiel Evelina Khromchenko and I wonder if our opinions coincided? Rhetorical question, of course, but who knows. .
