Jean Paul Gaultier indulges his fans with unpredictability and French classics. And the spring-summer 2011 show is a good proof to this. Jean Paul managed to mix a rough and cocky punk image with exquisite classic lines. Iroquois hairstyles; resemblance of collar on the neck – not gross, but very refined; chains with spikes – what a punk would be without all this ammunition?

The collection itself is quite austere; black colour predominates, but white, pink and variations of the bright warm colours are also present. The striped overalls and classical trousers got foot-straps. Dresses and suits are belted with thongs, clearly accentuating the waist. All the “rondures” are either highlighted with accessories or it is the tailoring of the model itself that perplexes with accurate lines, emphasizing the beautiful female body.

Muslin, tulle, lace, leather, satin, crepe, beads and Lurex are combined and in the hands of the Master become works of art. Complemented with long gloves and clutches, which give grace and sexuality; bracelets and earrings do not overload the already finished image, just add some spice.

And the real Parisian cancan performed by the Crazy Horse star Psykko Tico to round off the show. This is the style of Jean Paul Gaultier refined, feminine and sexy but with some “pepper”: in this time it is punk. But to be frank, it excites – and not just your imagination.
